"I know what you did last Prom Night"

Films: Prom Night (1980)

Alias: None

Type: Natural

Location: Haunted Home

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: We've had a slew of killers that barrel through obstacles like there's no tomorrow. But not everyone's a Jason Vorhees. Some are just like us, but with three times the capacity for murder and revenge.

History: Long ago, mild-mannered Alex Hammond’s little sister Robin tragically lost her life via defenestration after a prank gone wrong. The incident drove Alex mad, though he kept a lid on it for the time being. It was only when the local prom night began did he finally decide to cut loose, concealing his identity so that he may torment and kill those responsible for his loss one by one.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Ironically, it is Alex's remaining sister that gets the drop on him by bludgeoning him with his own axe. Only then is his identity revealed, and he dies crying out for his little sister. Ouch.

Powers/Abilities: None

Weakness: Even when in murder mode, Alex can be a bit absent-minded, such as forgetting his weapon during a chase.

Scariness Factor: 3-Alex definitely had a creepy fake voice and the element of surprise, but we can’t help but feel sorry for his ordeal. It wasn't the right thing, but it's clear that murder gave him no joy in life. He was just a guy in a (inexplicably glittery) ski mask going on autopilot after losing everything.

Trivia: -According to director Paul Lynch, financing the film was a trial until Jamie Lee Curtis signed on.

-Many a prom night in real life has been the subject of unhinged killers nowhere near as sympathetic as Alex. Just ask Christopher Planskon from the Jonathan Law High School in Connecticut, who repeatedly stabbed and eventually killed a girl for the "horrible" crime of her rejecting him as a date. He blames the voices in his head. Loser.

Remember kids! Follow the rules or some glass wielding maniac will get you!

What a lousy night.

Wait, did Alex conjur up an eldritch abomination to ensure sucess?

If I didn't know any better, I'd say he didn't take rejection very well.

Sorry, gal. Mary Lou already took your spot.

All it takes is one bad day, kid.
One little slice is all it took.

Remember. He's the killer.
